Julian accepts briefs in all areas of law, with a particular interest in commercial, financial services, industrial and administrative law. Julian was admitted as a solicitor in 2018 and called to the Bar in 2024. He previously served as the Associate to Justice Katzmann of the Federal Court of Australia and practised as a solicitor at Herbert Smith Freehills. While a solicitor, he advised institutional clients in relation to administrative and constitutional law issues and acted for them in commercial litigation, class actions, regulatory proceedings and royal commissions. Julian holds a Master of Law (First Class) from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons I) and Bachelor of Economics (Distinction) from the University of New South Wales. He placed first in corporations law and was the inaugural editor of the University of New South Wales Law Journal Forum during his undergraduate degree.
