Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Brief.Bar you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use the platform.

Use of the Service

Brief.Bar provides a marketplace connecting solicitors with barristers and chambers. You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms and any applicable professional obligations.

Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep your profile up to date.

Professional Conduct

Users who are members of the bar or chambers must comply with the conduct rules of their relevant bar association. Listings and communications must be accurate, professional and not misleading.

Intellectual Property

All content and materials on Brief.Bar, other than user-submitted content, are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property laws. You retain rights in the content you submit, subject to the licence you grant us to operate the service.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Brief.Bar is provided on an 'as is' basis and we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. We do not guarantee the outcome of any engagement made through the platform.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you breach these terms or use the platform in a manner that harms other users or the integrity of the marketplace. You may close your account at any time.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and any disputes arising under them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
