Thomas accepts briefs in all areas of law.  He specialises in class action and regulatory proceedings, commercial and corporate disputes, schemes of arrangement and matters involving issues of conflicts of law. He has twice been recognised by Best Lawyers as being among “Ones to Watch” for Litigation and Class Action Litigation (2026 and 2027). Before coming to the Bar, Thomas was a Senior Associate at Corrs Chambers Westgarth in the class actions and commercial litigation practice groups.   He was named by The Legal 500 as a “Rising Star” in Dispute Resolution (Class Actions) in 2022 and 2023. From 2019 to 2020, Thomas was Associate to the Hon. Justice Kathleen Farrell of the Federal Court of Australia, while also assisting the Hon. Justice Michael Lee (with whom he has co-authored material for the Australian Law Journal). Thomas graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Juris Doctor (Distinction) and awarded the Juris Doctor Medal for graduating first in his cohort.  He also placed first for Competition Law, Insurance Law, Court Processes, Evidence, and Federal Constitutional Law.
