Elliot has more than 20 years’ experience in legal practice. He is frequently retained to advise and appear in the areas of commercial law, equity, and corporations law. Large and complex litigation heard in courts and in arbitrations is a speciality of Elliot’s practice. This includes large scale infrastructure disputes (for example, the long running and complex dispute in relation to the construction of the Royal Adelaide Hospital), financial services litigation and securities class actions. Between 1996 and 2005, Elliot worked as a solicitor and as a senior associate from 2000 in commercial litigation at Deacons (now Norton Rose Fulbright) and Minter Ellison. Whilst at Deacons and Minter Ellison, he was involved in a large number of leading cases and international commercial arbitrations.
